French designer, Axelle lives and works in Nantes, close to a park, from which she draws her inspiration… Passionate about patterns since she was 3 years old, she first experimented with drawing, painting, sculpture, photography... and finally discovered the magic of Illustrator when she studied design at the London College of Communication. Since then, she keeps endless memories of London and creates regularly patterns for French & English children & women’s fashion brands. "Mum, draw me a sheep"... Inspired by her own kids' insights, Axelle likes to imagine timeless designs as in a day dream... Hand drawn, often with japanese pen or directly with the pen tablet, lines remain thin and once printed onto fabrics, this poetic world comes to life !
